THE ROLE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNING

Artificial intelligence (AI) has increasingly become an integral part of modern education, transforming the ways in which English as a foreign language (EFL) is taught and learned. This study examines the role of AI-powered tools and applications in enhancing English language learning outcomes, including vocabulary acquisition, grammar development, speaking fluency, and reading comprehension. The findings reveal that learners who regularly engage with AI-based platforms demonstrate measurable gains in language proficiency, self-directed learning behaviors, and motivation. The study concludes that AI, when thoughtfully integrated into EFL instruction, serves as a powerful complement to traditional teaching methods, fostering personalized, adaptive, and efficient language learning experiences.
