Abstract

This paper presents the architecture, design methodology, and implementation results of an online testing system based on QR-code authentication technology. Unlike traditional login and password-based authentication methods, the proposed system utilizes single-use QR-code tokens to prevent unauthorized access and improve examination integrity. The study investigates the integration of QR-code authentication mechanisms into online educational assessment platforms and evaluates their effectiveness in terms of security, usability, and system performance. Experimental results obtained during pilot testing demonstrate that the proposed system reduced authentication time by 62% and significantly enhanced overall security compared to conventional authentication approaches. The developed solution can be effectively applied in educational institutions, certification systems, and other online assessment environments requiring secure user verification.
